Sushi Haya is continuing its Texas expansion with plans to open a fifth location, this time in Baytown. The upcoming restaurant is set for a 5,057-square-foot space at 6280 Garth Rd, Suite 120.
A representative for Owner Cheng Lin confirmed the news and shared a few early details on what locals can expect. “This will be our fifth Sushi Haya. We expect to open it early next year. We will upgrade the menu, we will add Japanese BBQ (Yakiniku) and more, including drinks. We have a lot experience in Japanese restaurant management, so we are confident that we can provide better and faster service to customers in the new Haya.”
According to city permit records, the estimated cost for the new restaurant sits at $700,000, with plans calling for a full interior buildout from the ground up. The project will bring something new to the area by blending Sushi Haya’s traditional Japanese fare with the interactive experience of Yakiniku-style grilling, plus expanded beverage options.
Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2025 with a project completion date in April 2026.
