Flying Biscuit Cafe, the beloved Southern breakfast institution, is set to make its mark in the Houston food scene with the opening of three new locations after the success with the first in Memorial City. Spearheading this expansion is Daryl Dollinger, President and Co-Founder of Big Game Brands. The first of three will be located at 10310 Grand Pkwy #101, Richmond, TX 77406.
The first cafe opened in 1993 in Atlanta and within hours sold out of their signature biscuits. Fast-forward 30 years later and each location is baking approximately 5,000 biscuits per week to keep up with the demand. Currently you’ll find a Flying Biscuit in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas.
Its menu is full of breakfast favorites to include their famous grits and biscuits. It’s an all-day breakfast menu with vegetarian and vegan options, burgers and sandwiches, bowls, and plates. They offer carry-out and pickup options as well.
Dollinger, known for his entrepreneurial prowess and dedication to creating exceptional dining experiences, has identified Houston as a prime market for Flying Biscuit Cafe’s continued growth. He has created, operated and managed many franchise concepts like Moe’s Southwest Grill, Planet Smoothie, Mama Fu’s Asian House, Doc Greens Gourmet Grill, Boneheads Seafood, and Monkey Joe’s Parties and Play since 1997.
First up will be Richmond with a whopping 3920 square feet for Houston’s breakfast lovers set to open in Summer 2023. Then to follow will be Kingswood with 3129 square feet of space and East Downtown Houston with 2941 square feet, both queued for Fall 2023.
