Tommy Bahama has been permitted for the Memorial area. Plans for a new 9,121-square-foot space have been filed that will combine dining, drinks, and shopping under one roof. Located at 12850 Memorial Dr, Suite 1700, the project is expected to bring the brand’s signature laid-back island aesthetic to Houston’s west side.
According to permit records filed with the city, the upcoming buildout is valued at $1.1 million and will include a bar, full-service kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a dedicated retail section, and a stockroom. The interior layout appears designed to create a seamless flow between the restaurant and retail experiences, much like the brand’s other destination-style locations across the country.
While Tommy Bahama has made its name as a lifestyle apparel brand, its restaurant concepts have carved out a strong following in cities like Naples, Scottsdale, and Palm Desert. These spaces usually feature coastal-inspired cuisine, tropical cocktails, and resort-style ambiance that pairs well with the brand’s retail footprint.
The Memorial location looks to follow suit, offering a blend of retail therapy and relaxed dining in a single setting.
Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2025 with the permit showing a May 2026 completion.
