A brand new Mexican restaurant, 1810 Tacos Y Tequila, will open later this year in Jacksonville Beach at 950 Marsh Landing Pkwy #370.

1810 Tacos y Tequila is set to move into the former home of Whiskey Jax in Marsh Landing Plaza later this year, according to a plan review application submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. The new restaurant describes itself as a locally owned establishment created to provide great Mexican food and delicious drinks, but most of all, to be a place where customers can call it a home away from home.

When it opens, customers can expect a variety of Mexican classics, with a handful of appetizers and shareable plates, such as loaded nachos and carne asada fries, to start. On top of nearly a dozen entrees, 1810 Tacos Y Tequila offers different fajitas, quesadillas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and more. For dessert, customers can expect flan, fried ice cream, and churros. The restaurant will also offer a lunchtime special from Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., where a handful of lunch items are $12 with a soft beverage.

1810 Tacos y Tequila will have no problems getting people in its doors, considering it’s the closest restaurant next to Hampton Inn Jacksonville/Ponte Vedra Beach-Mayo Clinic Area. The restaurant will also serve as a much-needed sit-down restaurant in the area, which only has a HoneyBaked Ham Holiday Express and several other businesses, bringing in additional foot traffic. Unfortunately, the new restaurant will have to compete with a handful of sit-down restaurants down the street within the South Beach Parkway Plaza, including LongHorn Steakhouse, Sierra Grille, and Chili’s.
