After closing its doors at The Yards in Ponte Vedra Beach, 3 Palms Grille looks to reopen as soon as early next year.

The City of Hope Town Hospitality LLC, a restaurant group owned by John Nagy and Karen Belloit Thomas, recently opened City Grille & Raw Bar in the former Wine Cellar and is now shifting their focus to reopening 3 Palms Grille. While the group is still looking for a space in either Atlantic Beach or Neptune Beach, they are targeting an early 2024 opening, according to Jacksonville Business Journal. The restaurant served Sawgrass for six years until closing its door at the beginning of May.

“Jacksonville has always demonstrated a craving for fine dining,” Nagy tells the Business Journal. “Post-Covid added a new element with the addition of Northeasterners relocating. They are accustomed to high-quality, high-priced restaurants.”

The recently opened City Grille & Raw Bar is 4,200 square feet and has indoor and outdoor seating for about 150 people. There’s also a 300-year-old Florida live oak tree that grows inside the building, which guests are seated around on the second floor. Some items on the menu include Maine lobster tail, Jonah crab claws, Tsar Nicolai caviar, Cape Cod diver scallops, ceviche, and more. The restaurant joins the group’s other concept, Eleven South, in Jacksonville Beach.
