The owners of 3 Palms Grille in Ponte Vedra, located at 254 Alta Mar Drive, have decided to close the restaurant while focusing on another upcoming concept.

Restaurateurs John Nagy and Karen Benoit Thomas have decided to close 3 Palms Grille on May 1 to focus on their other upcoming project in Downtown Southbank, City Grille & Raw Bar at 1314 Prudential Drive, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. Once this new concept opens in June, the business owners will look for a new location for 3 Palms Grille. The couple opened the restaurant seven years ago when The Yard moved into the former home of the Oak Bridge Country Club.

“We have had a great run in Ponte Vedra, and our guests really love the Beaches laid back style we offer, along with a discerning palate,” Nagy said in a press release. “That’s why we will continue the 3 Palms Grille concept at a new Beaches location. For now, we are focused on opening City Grille and Raw Bar in San Marco in June.”

The new City Grille & Raw Bar, which is moving into the former home of Wine Cellar, will be the couple’s third restaurant, following their first, Eleven South, at 216 11th Avenue South in Jacksonville. They don’t plan on making any changes to this restaurant. City Grille and Raw Bar will offer a full dinner menu featuring fresh oysters, ceviche, tartare, crudo, and more. When 3 Palms Grille finds a new home later this year or possibly next year, customers can expect the same brunch, lunch, and dinner services along with plenty of wine, cocktails, and happy hour specials.
