Hookahs, cocktails, and vibes are coming to Jacksonville when Baran Café opens its doors.
The lounge and café, located at 3546 St. Johns Bluff Road in Jacksonville is set to open early January, according to a story in Business Debut, which adds that custom fixtures and furnishings will enhance the overall experience.
The 100-seat lounge will offer food, cocktails, tea, and hookah. Although a menu is not yet available, expect delights like falafel, kebabs, gyros, and baklava. In addition, the lounge will offer cocktails and hookah. For those who prefer to not imbibe, an array of traditional teas will be offered.
In recent years, hookah has become a popular way to socialize in the U.S., with many hookah lounges offering diverse menus where hookahs can be customized with herbs, fruit, or florals to flavor and scent the experience.
Traditional Middle Eastern tea service can include black teas flavored with mint or cardamom, along with herbal blends enhanced by fragrant spices such as anise, sage, and thyme.
Owner Noor Ahmad promises a chill, relaxed place to meet with friends from the afternoon through to the early hours with Baran open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily. That makes it a welcome alternative to late-night bars for socializing.
