Bella Vista A’Mare, sister to Fruit Cove’s Bella Vista, is set to bring authentic Italian fare to Jacksonville Beach.

The restaurant will open at 311 Third Street, according to co-owner Giovanni Prignano, who posted an announcement of the new eatery on the restaurant’s Facebook page, with hopes the restaurant will be open by the end of 2025.

Bella Vista is a true family affair. Giovanni Prignano, a native of Sicignano degli Alburni in southern Italy, runs the kitchen. Prignano attended culinary school in his native country before moving to New York City to further his career. There, he met his wife, Alysha, a New Jersey native. Together, they moved to the Jacksonville area. Both can be seen at the restaurant, working together to oversee both front and back of house.

Bella Vista serves classic Italian dishes using the highest quality ingredients direct from Italy like San Marzano tomatoes, 100 % Italian grain pasta cooked al dente, and a special blend of spices. Meals are prepared to order, and each table is provided with complimentary bread and homemade focaccia.

According to chef Prignano, the menu at Bella Vista a Mare will be similar to the original Fruit Cove location, so expect favorites like their signature cacio e pepe, pappardelle Bolognese, chicken parmigiana, and veal Milanese.
