The Michigan-based Biggby Coffee chain will be opening at 8587 Beach Blvd later this year inside the Gates of the Promenade shopping complex in Jacksonville. The franchisees of the store are husband-and-wife duo, Kevin and Natalie Clark.
Kevin Clark told What Now Jacksonville about the plans for opening.
“We are approximately six months out from the opening, no exact date yet. Once permits are fully approved and construction begins, we will have a better idea of an exact date,” Kevin said in an email.
Biggby Coffee was founded in 1995 by Bob Fish and Michael McFall, and has since grown to over 300 locations. The Biggby website claims by 2028, the brand will be a billion-dollar company.
“As a brand, we’re unique in our segment because every single one of our 300 coffee shops are franchised. Our stores are locally operated by people who love the places they live and operate in. Our franchise owners are passionate about their communities, their customers and their employees, and in turn, they’re rewarded with the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives,” stated on the website.
Kevin told What Now Jacksonville that at the moment this will be the only location they plan to franchise in Jacksonville.
“In the future, that could change. We’re excited about serving our community,” Kevin said.
Biggby Coffee is known for its wide menu of caffeinated beverages, including its own branded energy drink. The menu includes specialty flavors that change seasonally as well as offering food options, including bagel breakfast sandwiches, muffins and donut holes.
