A new food truck-based cafe spot is in the works in Jacksonville. The location at 5615 Normandy Blvd was formerly home to a Rally’s location, and now preparations are being made for a new food trailer with outdoor seating to turn the lot into a great spot to hang out.

At the heart of the project is Blackberry Creamery & Cafe, the food truck opening on the lot.

“It will be primarily ice cream, lemonade, and some desserts,” owner Raymond Paulk told What Now on Friday. “It’s going to be a food trailer lot, so there are going to be other food trailers too.”

Envisioning the space as a comfortable fenced-in spot anchored by Blackberry’s ice cream and coffee offerings, Paulk says other trailers renting the spot could be serving things like BBQ, seafood, and more.

“We have the trailer on the lot, and we’re working on the water, which should be set up in the next weeks,” said Paulk. “There are a few other things to prepare the lot, too. We’re still about two months out.”

Stay tuned for more details as Blackberry Creamery & Cafe’s opening approaches this summer!
