Bubbakoo’s Burritos is planning its newest location in Jacksonville. The fast-casual chain is planning its next franchise-owned location at Baymeadows Village.
Franchisee Shashi Patel shares with What Now Jacksonville that permits have been issued from the city to begin transforming the 1,886-square-foot space into Bubbakoo’s Burritos. This is co-owners Shashi and Swity Patel’s first location but hope to expand with the brand in the future.
Established in Point Pleasant, New Jersey by founders Paul Altero and Bill Hart, the brand is known for their approachable skate and surf vibes with a motto to “Create Something Different.” Bubbakoo’s has evolved since 2008 with nearly 100 locations across the United States.
Bubbakoo’s operates over 10 Mexican-inspired restaurants in Florida and even opened their flagship training center in Orlando to better serve their growing number of franchise partners in the state, as reported by QSR Magazine. The brand is expected to bring more restaurants to the Jacksonville region in the coming years.
Their menu offers fresh and customizable burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and taco salads. Their signature menu includes the Hibachi steak and shrimp burrito, a Nashville Hot Chicken burrito, and their famous Chiwawa, a rice ball fried with panko crumbs and smothered in nacho cheese and loaded with your choice of toppings.
Patel says they have March 1, 2023 as the target opening date for Bubbakoo’s Burritos in Jacksonville. Follow the Bubbakoo’s Burritos Instagram for the official opening announcement and check the Website for more information.
