This March, Atlantic Beach will see the opening of Dune House Hotel & Spa, a brand-new hotel launching in the former home of One Ocean Resort & Spa, at 1 Ocean Blvd.
“Interiors feature natural materials like sea glass, sun-bleached stone and weathered wood,” says recent coverage by Global Traveler. “Dune House Hotel & Spa will offer 193 guestrooms and suites in assorted configurations, boasting contemporary furnishings with many providing unobstructed ocean views.”
Dune House will be home to several new restaurant concepts, too. There’s Soothsayer, the poolside indoor-outdoor bar and eatery. Then there’s Café Dune, a “casual space” for “local brews and light fare.” And, in homage, to the Sea Turtle Inn (which the site once housed), there will also be an ice cream scoop shop called Sea Turtle Scoops.
At the center of the hotel’s food and drink amenities will be Coastal Farmer, Dune House’s “signature dining destination,” described by Hospitality Net as “a coastal steakhouse sourcing from local farms and nearby waters, where tide-to-table dishes will be offered in a relaxed, refined oceanfront setting.”
“Rooted in seasonality and the flavors of the Florida coast, Coastal Farmer serves coastal-inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all crafted to celebrate the joy of gathering around the table,” says the Dune House website.
