Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, the high-end seafood restaurant from Darden Concepts Inc., is looking to open a brand new location at 1000 and 1100 Sawgrass Village Dr.

The company recently proposed to demolish and lease three parcels totaling 1.47 acres to construct a brand new 10,303-square-foot restaurant, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. Darden must still verify the viability of the project before approval. At the moment, the company is hoping to come to an agreement with property owners that would allow for valet parking during the dinner hour. While Eddie V’s has 29 restaurants in 14 states, including sites in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa, this would be the company’s first in the Jacksonville area.

“We are always looking at new locations, including in the Ponte Vedra Beach area. However, I don’t have further details to share at this time,” Carly Maddock, communications manager with Darden, tells JDR.

If the St. Johns County Growth Management Department approves the company’s plans, the new restaurant will sit across the Sawgrass Village Shopping Center. Eddie V’s is considered one of the best seafood food restaurants in the country. It is the seafood staple behind Darden Concepts. Other restaurants from the parent company include Bahama Breeze Island Grille, The Capital Grille, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden Italian Kitchen, Seasons 52, and Yard House.

Whether or not Eddie V’s lands at this location or elsewhere in Ponte Verde Beach, customers can expect delicious seafood that is masterfully prepared. The restaurant will be open for only dinner service and will have about 80 parking spaces if plans are approved. The company is also working on a new location coming to Boca Raton at 201 Plaza Real, according to the company’s website.
