After announcing two locations coming to the area, Dutch Coffee Bros continues to expand throughout Northeast Florida, including in Venetia and Baymeadows.
The national chain drive-thru recently submitted a permit and civil engineering plans for a new location at 5733 Roosevelt Boulevard, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. The 950-square-foot kiosk will have two drive-thru lanes with a service and walk-up window. There will be no indoor seating. Earlier this month, the company also submitted a service availability request to set up a 950-square-foot kiosk at 10915 Baymeadows Road at Point Meadows, according to JRD.
These two locations join two locations previously reported by What Now Jax. First, Dutch Bros announced a 950-square-foot drive-thru kiosk at U.S. 1 and McCoy Way in St. Augustine. The company is also opening a new 950-square-foot drive-thru kiosk along Argyle Forest Boulevard in Southwest Jacksonville. The company proves the concept is popular in Northeast Florida. Dutch Bros has several other locations throughout the area, competing with similar concepts, such as Ellianos, Scooter’s, 7Brew, The Human Bean, Starbucks, and Dunkin’.
The Oregon-based company recently announced a change in its leadership, with CEO Joth Ricci stepping down at the end of the year and being replaced by Dutch Bros president Christine Barone. Ricci joined Dutch Bros as CEO in 2019 and will continue to serve as CEO until 2024.
“In setting the stage for the next phase of scaling the company, Christine has demonstrated her abilities and deep industry knowledge and experience,” Ricci said in a press release. “Over the last six months, she has immersed herself in our business and culture, and her impact has been felt immediately and decisively, notably in our real estate strategy, data analytics, and marketing. Having played a key part in shaping our priorities and action plans moving forward, I am confident the time is right for me to pass the baton to Christine.”
