Eddie V’s Prime Seafood might just be bringing its upscale steaks and seafood to Jacksonville in the near future.
The Jacksonville Daily Record reports that the JEA, Jacksonville’s utility company, is reviewing a service request recently submitted for the restaurant at 5101 Kernan Avenue.
That address is the same as The Village, a new center that will boast 250,000 square feet of restaurants, specialty shops, and office space. Anchored by a Publix supermarket, space is also marked out for an on-site hotel. Construction is set to begin in early 2026, and a move-in date for restaurants has not yet been determined. At this time, a roster of tenants has not been released.
A part of Darden Restaurants since 2011, Eddie V’s is best known for its upscale seafood-forward dining. A specialty is the indulgent “Big Eddie” tower of jumbo Gulf shrimp, Blue Point oysters, Royal Ossetra Petrossian caviar and Maine lobster. The restaurant offers everything from caviar service to seared ahi tuna. Eddie V’s also serves a variety of steaks including a 22 oz. USDA bone-in ribeye and a surf and turf dinner.
A daily happy hour at most locations allows guests to relax with $10 cocktails, discounted wines by the glass and an array of appetizers and small plates at happy hour prices.
