According to recent reporting in JBJ, an exciting new venue is coming to 10 N. 2nd St in Fernandina Beach.
Describing itself as “a full sensory experience bringing the best of live music, from both near and far”, the Tigre Island Room will soon bring significant life and color to the town, potentially drawing music lovers from both northern Florida and southern Georgia.
“There’s no set opening date at this point,” co-owner Audrey Jones tells What Now. “We will do a month of soft opening so we can properly evaluate the staff we need and the costs we will need to have proper musicians.”
“We hope to hit the ground running in September,” co-owner Audrey Jones tells What Now. “August will be dedicated to setting it up. We need around a month to set up the experience that I want people to have.”
“Most of July and August will be dedicated to soft openings,” she adds. “January and February is when we will be bringing very large acts.”
When asked whether the upcoming venue will provide food, Jones describes partnerships with neighboring establishments and a permissive outside food policy.
“The food situation will be covered by local restaurants who will be invited to provide pick-up options nearby. Outside food will be allowed in, but we will not have an actual kitchen as our focus is music and drinks.”
