According to recent reporting in JBJ, the popular fine-dining establishment Michael’s at 25 Cuna St. is relocating to the Hyatt Place at 117 Vilano Road in Vilano Beach.

Citing a release, JBJ reports the last day of service will be on Dec. 31. The new location will be in February 2025.

“Honestly, it’s a move I’m incredibly excited about,” Chef Michael Lugo said in the release. “Occupying a historic building comes with its own set of unique challenges. The Hyatt Place is brand new, so I can focus more of the efforts and budget on projects that fine-tune the dining experience.”

Lugo cities “persistent flooding, infrastructure issues, power outages, and an increasingly difficult parking situation” as reasons for abandoning the current location.

No exact opening date has been announced..
