According to recent public records, a new tea establishment is coming to town. Taiyo Matcha, an independent brand, will soon come to 10095 Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville.

Despite the best efforts of What Now Jax to find information on the upcoming establishment, very little information on the brand was publicly available.

“We serve many different matcha drinks and each uses ceremonial grade matcha. Ceremonial matcha drinks are the epitome of Japanese tea culture, offering a refined and immersive experience. Crafted from the highest grade of matcha, these vibrant green drinks are made from finely ground, shade-grown tea leaves. The result is a rich, umami-forward flavor profile with subtle sweetness and earthy undertones,” the owner tells What Now Jax.

“We Traditionally prepare our drinks with hot water using a bamboo whisk, to create a frothy, velvety texture. Served in beautifully handcrafted bowls, the drink is both visually stunning and deeply aromatic.

Each sip delivers a harmonious balance of flavors—smooth and vegetal, with a natural creaminess that lingers. The health benefits are equally impressive, as ceremonial matcha is packed with antioxidants, L-theanine, and chlorophyll, providing a calm yet focused energy boost.

We have created a perfect wood style cafe that created a perfect coziness for college students to study, or for anyone that would like to come in and get some work done.”

In any case, eager readers can reliably assume that they will soon have a new source for boba, matcha, and other varieties of tea in Jacksonville.
