Island Fin Poké Company, a national franchise specializing in Hawaiian-style poke bowls, is preparing to open its first locations in Northeast Florida.

Franchise owner Seth Neiman is planning to open the first of two locations in the area, starting with a new site coming to Beachwalk in St. John’s County at 345 Beachwalk Shore Drive, according to a plan review application submitted to the Florida Department of Professional & Business Regulation. Neiman tells What Now Jacksonville that he plans to open this location in the first quarter of 2024, hopefully by March. He says a second location is being scouted in Jacksonville Beach or Ponte Vedra Beach.

When these new locations open, customers can expect homemade sauces and over 25 toppings for the customizable poké bowls. In addition to offering sustainably sourced protein, the ingredients are all fresh and gluten-free. Customers start by selecting a base, whether rice or spring mix, followed by proteins, mix-ins, sauces, and toppings. For a little extra flavor, Island Fin Poké Company offers premium toppings, such as avocado, kimchi, masago, and surimi.

Founder Mark Setterington founded the company to transport guests to a white sand beach in the tropical islands through incredibly fresh flavors. After perfecting the recipe and opening a handful of locations, the company opened its first location in 2017 before franchising so more parts of the country could have fresh Hawaiian flavors. The company now has 27 locations in several states, with new sites coming soon to Buford, GA, and Nokomis, FL, according to the company’s website.
