When JaxSpice Indian Restaurant & Bar came to Jacksonville Beach, it filled a much-needed void of great Indian food. Prior to that, lovers of Vindaloo, samosas, and flavorful curries and spices would travel all the way to Baymeadows for a taste of the eastern cuisine.

Now, St. Johns County will be getting its own JaxSpice as the popularity grows amongst those that step through its doors.

Owner Puja Gautam told What Now Jacksonville that the new space intends to have a private dining room and 600 square feet of outdoor dining space—something the Jacksonville Beach location lacks.

The new location will be at 1620 County Road 210, Suite 14, and is planned to open in February.

The restaurant specializes in North Indian and Nepali Cuisine, according to its website. Dishes typically range from the $20-30 dollar range and include dishes like tandoori chicken, butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, and the famous tiki masala. Specialty cocktails are also available.

The new location in St. Johns County will be adjacent to Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital, Bartram trails, and about fifteen minutes from the Nocatee development. Many restaurants and businesses have chosen to reside near hear as the population continues to rise, which has increased by almost 16% since the latest census, according to World Population Review.
