Located at 48 San Marco Ave., Juniper Market is a casual cafe in Uptown St. Augustine where everything is “Fresh. Seasonal. Scratch Made.” Founded by Jenn Ashton, the cafe serves a menu of coffee and tea beverages, along with a selection of healthy slow-food offerings.

And now, Juniper Market is preparing to expand to a new location. This week, What Now examined plan review documents submitted by Juniper Market LLC, which show a Juniper Market opening at 420 N Main Street in Hastings.

The menu in St. Augustine features mains like the Breakfast Sandwich (bacon, egg, and cheese, on your choice of an everything bagel, cheddar scallion biscuit or croissant), the Havarti & Fig Grilled Cheese, Avocado Toast, and the Breakfast Pita (scrambled eggs, avocado, bacon and cheese in pita with sriracha mayo).

“Pursuing her love for slow food, Jenn Ashton first began experimenting with baked goods and seasonal recipes within the comfort of her home, though she had no idea she would soon be providing for her town,” says the Juniper market website. “Juniper Market was created to offer a welcoming space for locals to come together and enjoy fresh, delicious food alongside good company.”

What Now reached out to Jenn Ashton on Wednesday to ask about plans for a Hastings Juniper Market. Ashton was not immediately available for comment.
