According to recent reporting in JDR, a local hospitality group is planning an Atlantic Beach establishment.

River Restaurant Group is reportedly in discussions to open a restaurant at the former Ragtime Tavern space at 207 Atlantic Blvd. in Atlantic Beach.

Citing two sources involved in the preliminary discussions, JDR states that talks “are underway, but no documents have been signed. Details about the cuisine have not been finalized.”

Readers may recognize The River Restaurant Group as the operating company pf River & Post at 1000 Riverside Ave. in Jacksonville’s Riverside neighborhood.

“I have no information to provide as of now,” co-owner Jeff McCusker told What Now.

“We’re still very early on in the process and there’s a lot to discover.”
