According to recent reporting in JBJ, a new wing sensation is coming to town, spearheaded by a local trio.

Led by partners Craig Smith, Joel Slotnick, and Rob Langley, Dick’s Wings & Grill at 10750 Atlantic Blvd has been under their direction since October 2024.

The Journal states that trio aim “to bring the same passion and business acumen that elevated Alhambra to a national cultural hub to raise the bar for the Dick’s Wings brand. This project is very much a part of Smith’s broader commitment to reinvestment and revitalization in local institutions that contribute to Jacksonville’s economic and cultural growth.”

In a brief interview with Joel Slotnick, What Now learns that the Atlantic Blvd spot had received major upgrades and refinement from the team.

“We did a major remodel to the location,” Slotnick said.

“We took it out of an old-school wing establishment and made it family-friendly, where you’d take your wife and girlfriend.”

And now, the team is early stages of expanding.

“We are exploring buying other franchisees out,” he says. “We are exploring other potential locations, but we don’t have any details yet.”

When asked what changes readers could expect for this potential expansion, Slotnick states that they intend to replicate their refined atmosphere in upcoming spots.

No further details are available at this time.
