According to recent public records, a new Latin establishment is on the way to Jacksonville. Me Gusta Full Grill will soon come to 8016 Arlington Expressway.

Run by local Yenny Pina, the establishment appears to specialize in Venezuelan cuisine, particularly from the state of Zulia, a western region of the country whose cuisine features rarities such as patacón (fried plantain sandwich).

A rudimentary official website for the brand appears to list a food truck location, implying that the upcoming Arlington Expressway spot will be the brand’s debut brick and mortar location.

In a brief interview with Pina, she tells What Now that the restaurant will be a relocation from its current place at 77 Monument Rd.

“The menu will expand,” she adds. “We will have both our traditional Zulian foods and add American offerings.”

Me Gusta Full Grill will open by early September. No exact opening date has been announced.
