Marble Slab Creamery, the delicious ice cream shop with locations across the country, is getting ready to open a new site in St. Johns at 4663 River City Drive, Site 119.

The company’s newest location is set to move into the former home of Levy Jewelers, which is also shown as 10281 Midtown Parkway, according to a plan review application submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. This is the latest from franchise owner Vimal Talati, who also owns and operates the Marble Slab Creamery in Panama City Beach at 600 Pier Park Drive. There is no exact opening date.

This is one of many new businesses coming to the St. Johns Town Center, as Great American Cookies is set to join the shopping center along with Marble Slab Creamery in the same space, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. The two eateries will be on the roundabout at the Town Center entrance anchored by Maggiano’s. DeGeorge Enterprises Inc. is the agent for the estimated $400,000 renovation of the 1,923-square-foot space.

“Since dreaming up the frozen slab technique and serving fresh homemade, small-batch ice cream in store since 1983, Marble Slab Creamery has always known how to dream big,” according to the company’s website. “We sprinkle our customers with imagination and promise to inspire with infinite ice cream possibilities to feed your curiosity and capture cravings.”
