At the corner of Longleaf Pine Parkway and Shetland Drive, a new pizzeria is preparing for a launch. Miei Amici Pizzeria will open with in suite 225 at 3735 Longleaf Pine Pkwy.
“My family has been running pizzerias for years,” co-owner Nick Panico told What Now on Friday. Panico hails from Brooklyn and has long years of experience in the pizza space. He owns Miei Amici Pizzeria in partnership with Vincenzo Grande.
Miei Amici’s menu will feature pizzas, hot and cold heroes, and a salad bar.
“It’s pizza New York style, round and square,” Panico said. “Plus everything associated with pizza. Calzones, stromboli. Then those really authentic Italian heroes, which are really popular with young people. And the salads are going to be build-your-own, select exactly what you want. It makes every salad custom, and that resonates with a lot of people.”
Miei Amici is expected to open in Q1 or Q2 of next year.
“It’s in the process; it’ll be open in early spring. And I think it’s going to be that variety of hot and cold heroes that are going to make us stand out.”
