A brand new coffee shop and wine bar called Bar Citra is getting ready to open soon within the CITRA Market in Jacksonville at 3676 N Ponce de Leon Blvd.

The new cafe, set to debut within CITRA at Fort Mose, is the latest project from Andrew Deming and Rachel Gant, the founders of YIELD, a housewares and apothecary brand. Bar Citra will sit within a curated collection of spaces, including furnished studio apartments, a hair salon, vintage shops, and more. There’s no timeline for the new coffee shop and wine bar’s opening. However, a recent plan review application suggests the opening will be sooner than later, likely by the end of summer.

While the two are no longer with YIELD, which was acquired by Pattern Brands in 2022, the duo used the opportunity to embark on a new venture and founded CITRA, a real estate design and development studio. At CITRA, they focus on transforming properties into unique and captivating spaces that blend aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. Their expertise extends beyond aesthetics as they handle the entire process from procurement to design and oversee the build-out of each individual space. Now, they are expanding their presence in the area with this new coffee shop and wine bar. Customers can expect plenty of delicious pastries, snacks, and wine, as well as a coffee program from Address Coffee.

“With a keen eye for detail and a passion for reimagining neglected spaces, Deming and Gant have taken on diverse projects,” according to the company’s website. “Among their current endeavors is the redevelopment of a mixed-use commercial property, where they are creating a new neighborhood hub with living spaces, food, and retail. They are also involved in the redevelopment of multiple residential properties, breathing new life into these spaces.”
