Located at 3695 Hartsfield Road, the former Grand Slam Batting Cage & Miniature Golf space looks to be undergoing a transformation that will bring some Latin food into the mix.

This week, What Now came across plan review paperwork for Batting Cage and Latin Flavor, a restaurant project to open at the Hartsfield Road address.

For now, the details on the restaurant’s menu are not yet available. What Now reached out to Maria Cruz, the principal behind Batting Cage and Latin Flavor LLC, to ask about the opening. Cruz was not immediately available for comment.

As a result, it’s not yet known whether the move represents an overall change in ownership and layout for Grand Slam Batting Cage & Miniature Golf or if the planned Latin restaurant is simply a welcome addition.

Located on the southeast corner of the roundabout where Fort Caroline Road meets Hartsfield Road, Batting Cage & Latin Flavor would join food with entertainment in a largely residential area whose nearest other food and drink outlet appears to be Girl Next Dough, a bakery located at 3523 Eveross Road, off Fort Caroline Road.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
