Oak Steakhouse, a sophisticated Charleston-born restaurant and grill, is coming to Jacksonville.

According to Jax Today, the restaurant will open at 204 N. Laura Street in the Greenleaf & Crosby Building, a restored 100-year-old Art Deco building.  The restaurant is expected to open by the end of 2025, with the restaurant’s website just announcing it as “coming soon”.

When it opens, this will be the eighth Oak Steakhouse which has locations in Alexandria, Atlanta,  Charlotte, Highlands, Nashville, Raleigh, and Rogers in addition to the flagship Charleston restaurant.

Each Oak Steakhouse menu changes slightly to reflect its neighborhood, but diners can expect decadent cuts of Prime Certified Angus beef, Wagyu steaks, caviar service, foie gras, and more. For more casual dining, many locations have a bar menu. For dessert, there’s the signature Oak chocolate served with salted caramel gelato.

Oak Steakhouse is owned and operated by The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. Led by founder Steve Palmer, the Charleston-based group owns and operates more than 50 bars and restaurants throughout the South and is in the process of developing and opening 10 more, including Jacksonville’s Oak Steakhouse.

In addition, Indigo Road operates eight boutique hotels including Asheville’s Flat Iron Hotel and the Post House in Charleston.
