The Roost Restaurant Group is working on a new restaurant in Five Points, located at 2228 Oak St.

Restaurant group owners Martin E. “Ted” Stein II and Jack Charles “JC” Demetree III, along with CEO Eli Durant, recently submitted a plan review application for a new sit-down restaurant in the former home of a laundromat. This is the second upcoming concept from Roost Restaurant Group, following The Lomax Restaurant, also coming to Five Points. Plan application has the restaurant named “Roost,” suggesting there’s a possibility this will be a second location of The Roost country bar in Whitehouse.

Prior to expanding to new restaurants, The Roost Restaurant Group made a name for itself through its other restaurant concept, The Local, which has locations in Neptune Beach and Miramar. This high-quality café focuses on delicious food, a variety of craft booze, and the best coffee. When this new restaurant opens, customers can expect a matched level of customer service and delicious food and drinks.

“We strive to ensure every one of our guests leaves with a smile,” according to the restaurant group’s website. “From our eclectic food and drinks, great service, unique atmospheres, and a strong sense of community, we are confident you’ll find a reason to do so. Every restaurant we build, we do so with the neighborhood in mind. Each location is unique but with common threads between them all. As we continue to grow, we look forward to sharing our new concepts with the community.”
