“Part service station, part restaurant, and all Southern hospitality, the Savannah-based Parker’s Kitchen is expanding in the Jacksonville area,” What Now reported back in January, detailing plans for Parker’s Kitchen locations opening in North Jacksonville, Orange Park, and Yulee.
Now, we can add another planned Parker’s Kitchen to the list. According to coverage by the Jacksonville Daily Record, Parker’s Kitchen is planning to replace the closed CVS at 9100 Atlantic Blvd.
“Replace,” here, means “demolish.” The 13,044-square-foot building will be demolished on the site, which Parker’s Kitchen paid $5.95 million for back in September.
To replace it? “A 6,344-square-foot convenience store and gas station with 20 fueling positions. A site plan shows 10 pumps.”
There will also be room for Parker’s Kitchen’s signature fast-service restaurant, which features “award-winning, Southern-inspired food made from scratch daily, including a hot breakfast bar, hand-breaded, never-frozen Southern Fried Chicken Tenders and daily specials,” as a representative told What Now back in January.
Opening in the Atlantic Blvd location, Parker’s Kitchen will be joining a restaurant community that includes nearby restaurants like IHOP, Lily European Kitchen Restaurant, ChokoLatte Cafe & Bakery, and more.
