Permits are currently under review for Grafton & Fleck’s Steakhouse, a new restaurant concept that would open at 299 Atlantic Blvd, according to coverage by the Jacksonville Daily Record.

Opening there, Grafton & Fleck’s Steakhouse will be picking where Ragtime Tavern, the previous occupant, left off.

Behind the project are Jeff McCusker and Bob Fleckenstein, the restaurateurs behind River & Post. Located at 1000 Riverside Ave, Suite 100, and offering “the best brunch in Jax!”, River & Post is a “culinary driven restaurant in a warm, modern setting where we strive to captivate our guests with quality ingredients, impeccable service and memorable accommodations for any occasion,” the River & Post website says.

More details on Grafton & Fleck’s are still forthcoming. What Now contacted Jeff McCusker on Friday to ask about the opening. McCusker said it will not be possible to share information about the planned steakhouse until the permits have come through.

Taking over the Ragtime space, Grafton & Fleck’s Steakhouse would join Atlantic Beach restaurants like le Petit Paris Café, Poe’s Tavern, and Hawkers Asian Street Food in a prime position near the water.

Stay tuned for more details as they are made available!
