Players Grille has secured a lease to open a new location on the ground floor of the upcoming Some2 Suites in the Brooklyn area of Downtown, located at 600 Park St.

The new 5,000-square-foot restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as an arcade game room, according to a press release. The company, owned and operated by Phil and Megan Visali, currently has locations in or coming to Miramar, Mandarin, and Oakleaf. While there is no exact opening date for the new Players Grille, the hotel is expected to be completed in early 2024, costing about $16.2 million. The six-story, 100-room hotel recently completed its structural framework at the beginning of June.

The entire project is a collaboration between Kelco Management and Development Inc. and Corner Lot Development Group. When Players Grille opens, customers can expect plenty of bar-related food, such as burgers, wings, chicken, and more, in a family-friendly environment. The Visalis bought Players Grille in December 2022 from founders Rose and George Sarkees with the goal of expanding to more locations. The new owners are in the process of opening a second site in the former home of Time Out Sports Grill in Mandarin.

“The casual sports vibe at the Players Grille [is] the perfect partner for Corner Lot, our vision of Home2 Suites, and the ambiance we want to provide for the street-side dining experience in Brooklyn,” Andy Allen, Corner Lot CEO, said in a press release. “It’s going to be a great place for hotel visitors to grab a bite to eat, but we believe it will also quickly become the neighborhood bar for downtown residents to bring their families, catch a game, and have a drink.”
