It seems North Florida is at the top of the list for Red Owl Coffee’s expansion plans. And it’s hitting the area with confidence.
Currently, the 208 Blanding Blvd. store in Orange Park is the first location slated to get a shop, and more permits are working on being filed in the coming months, according to franchisee Michael Stadnicki.
The Orange Park shop was formerly a Krystal restaurant and is under construction. Stadnicki hasn’t indicated when the opening date will be.
According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, the burgeoning coffee company started in Valdosta, Georgia, just six years ago. It has since relocated to Chattanooga and currently has six locations, with one currently in Tennessee. This would be the company’s first venture into Florida. It is working on expanding into Alabama as well. However, last September, Red Owl signed for 23 new coffee shops and is looking for more franchisees to add more units.
“We build our business on the belief that there is a better way to do coffee,” said Will Paulo, the CEO of Red Owl Coffee in an interview with the Chattanooga Times. “You can have quality and service at the same place, and that’s what we have focused on ever since.”
The Orange Park location was filed under Stadnicki, who also owns the Chicago-based Mexican restaurant Taco Lu Lu.
“We have quite a few new stores opening,” Stadnicki said when What Now Jacksonville inquired about the new Orange Park location. He did, however, decline further comment.
