Located at 11018 Old St. Augustine Road in the Mandarin Central Shopping Center, Salento Steakhouse’s Jacksonville location is currently closed. The Colombian restaurant, which was established in 2014 and also has an outpost in St. Johns, will not be staying that way for long, however. Andres, one of the owners of the restaurant, told What Now on Wednesday that it’s planning to reopen soon.
That means that Mandarin will soon be able to enjoy, once again, Salento’s selection of steaks and other entrées like the 8-oz. Filet Mignon, Salmon, Lamb Chops, and more. There’s also a selection of Arepas like the Hawaiian Arepa (with ham, pineapple, and cheese), along with other varieties like beef, avocado, and cheese; cheese and chorizo; and pork rind.
The ownership confirmed the reopening but declined to provide further details at this time.
Reopening in the Old St. Augustine Road location, Salento Steakhouse will rejoin a restaurant community that includes Lean Kitchen Co, Kava & Company, Little China Restaurant, and Hershey’s Ice Cream.
