Back in October, What Now reported on plans to for the debut of Saucy! by KFC in the Jacksonville market.

“The restaurant will take over the PDQ space 4816 Gate Parkway,” the coverage said. “The Jacksonville Saucy by KFC is part of a larger Florida expansion of the brand, though additional locations haven’t been announced yet.”

Well, now another one has: coverage by the Jacksonville Daily Record shows another Saucy! by KFC planned for 194 State Road 13 N, for which a permit was issued on December 29. Funnily enough, this one is also taking over a former PDQ space.

Saucy! by KFC is a chicken tenders brand, but really—as the name indicates—the tenders are more like a canvas for the brand’s sauces. They include Thai Sweet ‘N Spicy, Jalapeno Pesto Ranch, Creole Honey Mustard, Chimichurri Ranch, Korean Sweet Heat, and more. There are also the brand’s signature dessert: Puffies, served with caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, or raspberry sauce.

Opening in the FL-13 location, Saucy! by KFC will join a restaurant community that includes brands like Julington Creek Fish House & Oyster Company, Iggy’s Grill and Bar, Samira’s Cafe, and La Nopalera.

What Now reached out to Payman Borghei, Head of Operations for Saucy! by KFC on Friday. Borghei was not immediately available for comment.
