According to recent public records, a new independent establishment is coming to Jacksonville to 4323 Herschel Street.

While no social media exists on the upcoming establishment, the JBJ reported in October that “Jacksonville’s Connelly and Wicker Architects produced the plans for Carlton Construction to construct the Duval Fish Company at the northeast corner of San Juan Avenue and Herschel Street.”

“The seafood restaurant on the river would alter and replace an abandoned 1960s-era gas station and convenience store. Site plans show seven diagonal parking spaces that would replace the original gas station bay while the store would remain to be renovated into a restaurant.”

Adding to this reportage, Business Debut reported recently that “The restaurant, with seating for 122 guests, will offer a dining experience that bridges full-service and fast-casual concepts. Quinones, who has a background in fine dining, is launching the venture with his brother, Wyatt Griesemer, and John Williams. Their goal is to provide an accessible option for fresh, locally-sourced seafood along San Juan Avenue.”

What Now Jax did not receive additional comment from Duval Fish Company representatives. No opening date has been announced.
