Jason Malih, the restaurant owner-operator who introduced the Jacksonville market to South Florida’s smash-hit Talkin’ Tacos franchise, is preparing to debut a brand-new restaurant concept in Jacksonville’s The Palms at Gate Parkway retail center.
“Get ready, Jacksonville,” says Sip’ N’ Smash’s website. “Sip N Smash is pulling up with that clean Miami Vice attitude but built for the 904. Big flavor, neon energy, and a modern spin on comfort food that actually hits. Smash burgers, hand-spun shakes, warm fresh donuts… your cravings just found a new local problem, and it’s us.”
According to coverage by the Jacksonville Daily Record, the project is “working toward building-out,” at 7540 Gate Parkway, Units 115-116.
Opening there, Sip N’ Smash will join restaurants like Nomu Izakaya, Foxtail Coffee Co. & Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, and 14 Prime.
What Now reached out to Jason Malih this week to ask about plans for the opening (and, of course, for more juicy details on the menu). Malih was not immediately available for comment.
