According to recent public records, popular area coffee chain Southern Grounds will soon be opening its seventh location in St. Augustine. The store will be found at 124 King Street, in a 2,820-square-foot home previously occupied by the Catholic Daughters Club.

“You asked and we listened! Coming soon to the nation’s oldest city, a N E W southern grounds location!,” a recent Instagram post states.

“Our new spot, situated at 124 King Street in a stunning historic building dating back to 1917, will provide a beautiful and inviting space for you and your loved ones to gather together and enjoy a unique dining experience in this historic city. Stay tuned for more details on our grand opening!”

Unfamiliar readers can expect a classic coffeehouse menu of espresso and filter coffee drinks alongside a location-variable menu of breakfast (brunch, egg plates), brunch (sandwiches, pancakes), and lunch (salads, wraps) in the American cafe/diner style.

No opening date has been announced.
