Back in December, What Now reported on Slingin’ Wieners, a new and leveled-up hot dog concept planned for the upcoming Block Jax venue. But in fact, Slingin’ Wieners is only one of 8 different food concepts announced for the Block. Here’s the whole list:

In a video published by Jacksonville.com today, owner Daniel Moffatt provided a preview of The Block Jax, which includes not just the food hall but also a live music venue, a dog park, and several bars.

“It’s an entertainment place for people to come and gather together,” Moffatt says. “We have three bars; we’ve got the main bar downstairs… 20 beers on tap, a lot of local and regional craft beers. Upstairs, we have a cocktail bar with a 21-and-up area for people without kids and without dogs who kind of want to be a part of it but away from it a little bit.”

“At The Block, food is at the center of families, friends and good times!” says The Block Jax’s website. “With multiple concepts to choose from, there’s something to please everyone in your group.”

Moffatt adds the The Block Jax is planning to open in a celebratory three-day event on the weekend of March 20, 21, and 22.
