According to recent reporting in JBJ, The Local will soon be opening a new location by late spring 2025.
“We’re super excited to finally be opening up that next one,” Roost Restaurants director of operations Bobby Newell told the Business Journal. “We’ve been trying, but every time it feels like we’re close, something will happen.”
Reportedly, Newell said that Roost Restaurants hopes to open a third Local restaurant at the site of the former Woody’s Bar-B-Q at 225 Solana Rd. by April 2025.
“The building will be ready in February, but we don’t want to open right before the Player’s,” Newell said to the JBJ.
“You can come and have a burger and beer, or you can come in and have something truly unique,” Newell said. “I would challenge some of our dishes against anybody.”
