A brand new restaurant called The Turmeric Kitchen is preparing to debut later this year in Green Cove Springs at 3075 Hwy 17.

Local real estate Developer and county resident Chandeep (CJ) Singh is developing an 18,000-square-foot multi-tenanted site where The Turmeric Kitchen will be. Singh tells What Now Jacksonville that he expects to open the restaurant sometime mid-to-late next month. This will be the first Indian restaurant in the county, according to Singh. The restaurant will offer delicious Indian dishes made with non-GMO ingredients, plus paleo, vegan, and organic choices.

Behind the kitchen, the owners of The Turmeric Kitchen are bringing in Raghu Raturi, who has over 25 years of experience as executive chef in multiple high-end Indian Restaurants in Miami, Oregon, and Asheville, including Shiva, Nirvana, etc. He has years of experience in farm-to-table and organic farming and is currently relocating from Asheville, NC, to open this healthy restaurant.

When customers walk into The Turmeric Kitchen, they can expect to be elevated into an ambiance of color and aroma upon entry, according to Singh. The inside of the restaurant will be textured in clay/stucco and oil-painted in turmeric with splashes of colors to give it a colorful, exotic ambiance. There will also be a wrap-around outside patio bar overlooking a fenced-fountained retention pond, second-story offices, and private dining.
