The popular breakfast spot Vicious Biscuit will be opening in Jacksonville sometime this spring, pending liquor licensing and build-out plans are finished in a timely manner.

Located at 211 3rd Street, Vicious Biscuit plans to bring its Southern-inspired cuisine to Neptune Beach. Founder and owner George McLaughlin spoke to What Now Jacksonville about the excitement surrounding the expansion.

“We are so excited to finally bring our unbelievable biscuits to Jacksonville. Vicious Biscuit started in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, but I am from Jacksonville originally and I’ve been wanting to open a location in my hometown for a long time. We think the Neptune Beach area is the perfect spot,” McLaughlin said in a phone interview.

The family-run business is known for “serving ridiculously delicious, over-the-top creative comfort meals, complimented by Southern hospitality and an entertaining guest experience,” as stated on the Vicious Biscuit website.

According to the press release announcing the expansion, “the Southern menu features a varied selection of savory biscuits, meticulously curated to provide a wide range of delicious offerings enhanced by generous helpings of unique toppings. With tongue-in-cheek offerings with names like The Fat Boy, The Flame Thrower and The Vicious, shareables including Sweet Puppies and Vicious Beignets, as well as traditional Southern craft cocktails, local diners can expect to line the entrance for a taste of Vicious. The restaurant will open Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturdays and Sundays
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.”
