If you haven’t heard the news yet, you should hear it now: fast-growing chicken tender franchise Huey Magoo’s has opened a new store in Jacksonville! The new Huey Magoo’s, which has opened at 8520 Baymeadows Road, is the brand’s fourth location in the area, and its 84th overall.
“We opened on November 19th, and we have been very well received,” Michael Phillips, the franchisee behind Huey Magoo’s Jacksonville expansion, told What Now on Monday. “Our area is Greater Jacksonville: east of the river, north of the airport. We’re looking to open at least two more.”
“The menu includes a robust selection of customizable options including fresh-made salads, sandwiches, wraps and the most popular choice, tender meals,” says a recent press release announcing the Baymeadows opening. “Guests can also enjoy hand-spun chips, freshly prepared coleslaw, banana pudding, and house-made specialty dips—including Magoo’s, Spicy Magoo’s, and Ranch—showcasing the brand’s commitment to quality and freshness. These selections complement a wider variety of flavors – an additional six signature dips (buffalo, honey mustard, bbq, garlic parmesan, sweet red chili, and bleu cheese), and sides available to customize every meal.”
Asked what has tended to be the most popular item on the menu so far, Phillips confirms that the classics are classics for a reason. “Our standard chicken tender platters still tend to be the most popular.”
