What Now reported back in January on plans for legendary cheeseburger brand Fatburger to launch a new location in Orange Park. Preparations for the opening have proceeded apace, and now the Orange Park location is preparing to launch on Monday, March 9.

“Recognized as a Hollywood-favorite, Fatburger has built its reputation on grilled-to-perfection and cooked-to-order burgers, which can be customized with signature toppings including bacon, eggs, chili, and onion rings,” a representative told What Now in an email this week. “To commemorate the new restaurant, Fatburger is hosting a grand opening celebration on March 14 at 10 a.m. Highlights include 100 free burgers to the first 100 guests and free Fat or Skinny Fries all day with any purchase.

What Now spoke on Thursday with Spike Singh, who heads up Whole Factor, Inc, about the launch. It’s a big project, Singh says, with 140 people hired in preparation.

“Our new hires have been going through two weeks of training, which is in its final leg. It’s going to be really exciting: it’s our first 24-hour store, which we’ve never done before. A 24-hour drive thru.”

Where is Fatburger headed next? What Now asked.

Most of the next upcoming openings are concentrated in the greater Orlando market, Singh said, with the next stop being in Rockledge. However, Whole Factor, Inc. isn’t finished with its work in Northeast Florida in 2026. In Q4, another new location will open at 5081 J Turner Butler Blvd. in Jacksonville.

“We’re excited to open and keep pressing,” Singh said. “We know this is an underserved market, and that’s the kind of place we like to go into. We hire a lot of people in order to serve the community best, but at the end of the day, this is still a family operation.”
