Grand Flamingo Centre, the retail center located on the southeast corner of West Flamingo Road and South Grand Canyon Drive, is the future home of a major new three-story development that will include a food hall, a top-floor steakhouse, event space, and more. Construction plans submitted to the Clark County Planning Commission have been approved, according to coverage by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The new culinary destination from HUKL Hospitality, the group behind La Madre Canyon Grill and the upcoming Ciao Vino Ristorante, is a $50 million undertaking. It will feature a first floor food hall that, according to the RJ, “encompasses a pasta-making area, a small butcher counter, and retail sales of steak and seafood, pasta, charcuterie, baked goods made in-house, chocolates, and coffee.”
Below that, in the basement, will be a concert space, a cigar lounge, and a speakeasy.
The second floor will consist of a kitchen for catering and a variety of event spaces, including a subdividable gathering space with room for up to 900.
The most exciting part of the news is the top floor, however. The RJ describes the top-floor steakhouse, which as yet has no name, as a restaurant “featuring panoramic valley views, wood-fire grills, in-house dry aging and butchering, top-drawer domestic and international beef, a small sushi area with an omakase option, theatrical desserts like a life-size chocolate tomahawk steak and a wine list with cruiserweights like Château Pétrus.”
That’s a lot! We’re looking forward to seeing how this project turns out. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
