Chef Dominique Ansel is set to open Dominique Ansel Las Vegas at Caesars Palace next summer.
“I’m thrilled to be heading out West and opening a new shop in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace next year,” the chef said in a press release. “We’ve known the Caesars team for several years and truly believe that we’re aligned in quality and creativity to bring something special to visitors and locals alike.”
Ansel is not only a pastry chef but a pastry innovator. His creations are famous worldwide, with his Cronut—something of a croissant-donut hybrid—was named one of TIME magazine’s “25 Best Inventions of 2013”. The Cronut is not merely a croissant that has been fried; rather it’s a dough with a unique proprietary recipe that undergoes a three-day process, with a new flavor debuting each month and never repeating.
Other baked goods to be available at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas include the DKA (Dominique’s Kouign Amann), a unique pastry likened to a caramelized croissant, and which is the most popular item at the chef’s bakeries; the Cookie Shot, a shot of cold-infused Madagascan vanilla milk in a shot glass made of chocolate chip cookie; and Frozen S’mores, with a center of Madagascan vanilla bean ice cream, torched to order.
The brand new kitchen will fill the restaurant with the aroma of baking, as guests peruse the extensive retail section or sit in the café-style seating area to indulge on the spot.
Dominque Ansel Las Vegas will be located in a soon-to-be-constructed space next to Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace.
