The cluster of food and drink locations on the southeast corner of the intersection between S Durango Dr. and W Badura Ave. may soon welcome a new Korean concept into the mix. Paperwork submitted recently to Clark County describes a project called “Itaewon Korean Tapas & Bistro,” with a contract valuation of $300,000 for work at 7060 S Durango Dr.
Specifics about the restaurant’s menu are so far unavailable. What Now was unable to reach a representative of the restaurant on Friday. The project’s descriptive name gives some clues, though: expect small plates and adult beverages. As far as the vibes go, the clue is Itaewon, a part of Seoul famous for nightclubs, and it is popular with a metropolitan crowd of locals, tourists, and expats living in the city.
The small retail center on Durango, just south of where W Maule Ave. becomes W Badura Ave., is also home to a Starbucks, health food restaurant theProteinSource, Cafe Rio Mexican Grill, Master Kim’s Korean BBQ, and Pier 215 Sushi.
No opening date has been announced for Itaewon Korean Tapas & Bistro.
