Located in Shanghai Plaza, The Paleta Bar serves up a selection of fruit- and cream-based Mexican ice pops, smoothies, and more. Headed up by franchisees Tammie and Jae Park, it’s Nevada’s only Paleta Bar location (the franchise has 35 in total), but soon it will have a sister location in the valley.

That’s because the Parks are at work on Vegas’s second Paleta Bar location, opening in the retail center on the southwest corner of West Warm Springs Road and South Rainbow Boulevard this March.

“What’s unique about us is we make everything in-house, with premium ingredients,” Tammie Park told What Now on Wednesday. “We use fresh fruit, chopped daily: mangoes, watermelon, cucumbers.”

The Paleta Bar’s paletas are highly customizable. They come in cream- or water-based flavors like Mango, Taro, Matcha, Durian, Horchata, and more—then you choose drips like Dark Chocolate or Powdered Chile & Chamoy, and top it all off with extras like Pecan, Oreo, M&M, and more. There are also fruit cups, Aguas Frescas, and other choices (including savories like Dorinachos and Elote).

The Parks had a personal connection to brand, and Tammie Park says the couple chose to launch a Paleta Bar in Vegas because they felt it offers something you don’t easily find in area.

“My husband and I are from Albuquerque, and we were good friends with the corporate owners. We loved the product and thought, this concept is so fun. We were moving here, and we thought it would be a great opportunity, something interesting and fun for Vegas.”

The Shanghai Plaza Paleta Bar opened in 2021, and this will be the brand’s first expansion in the city.
