Do you know the King of Empanadas? Growing empanada and Peruvian restaurant brand Papa Aldo’s Peruvian Fusion has been serving up homemade Peruvian empanadas with an American twist by way of catering and delivery orders for a growing clientele, and now the brand is preparing to launch its first brick-and-mortar restaurant. It’s opening at 8876 S Eastern Ave, Suite 101.
“We ‘re excited to bring Peruvian culture to more people,” co-owner Kelly Garcia told What Now on Friday. Garcia owns and operates this family business in partnership with her husband Jose and mother-in-law Lupe. “We’re adding some sides, we’re expanding our empanadas, including breakfast empanadas, and other Peruvian staples as well.”
A recent menu posted on the brand’s Facebook shows the kind of variety that’s possible with empanadas. There are savory flavors like Lentil, Monte Cristo, Steak, and Ham & Cheese, and sweet flavors too: Strawberry Cheesecake, Guava Cheesecake, Apple, Peach, and Mixed Berry to name a few.
“Best in Town,” declares one comment on the post.
Excitement is growing as the opening approaches!
“We all make different things, and we’ve mixed it all together,” Kelly told What Now. “Now it’s kind of caught fire. We’re so excited.”
